Do you know?
The Bonenkai which falls in every December and January, is one of the most highly anticipated occasions of the year. Bonenkai literally refers to “forget the year gathering”. The purpose of the party, as its name implies in Japanese, is to forget the woes and troubles of the past year typically by ordering many dishes and drinks. Bonenkai is usually celebrated together with colleagues and friends after a hard day at work and there can be as many as seven sessions in one week.
