The Staff at Watami Singapore would like to do ONE thing that could make a difference!

We are going to hold a charity event for two days on 13th and 14th September 2010. This event will be held at Watami at Raffles City. This event will be filled with two fun filled days of laughter. There will be a lot of on goings like a donation bazaar, a photography exhibition, a workshop and also a lucky draw!

When you come down and purchase something on one of these two days, the proceeds from your sales will go to charity. The beneficiary Watami will be funding is School Aid Japan (SAJ).

Seasonal Menu Launch!

Watami Singapore adapts to Japan’s four seasons by introducing seasonal menus quarterly. Its Spring seasonal menu will be introduced at the end of April. The spring season in Japan is called Haru (春) which is also synonymous with Sakura (Cherry Blossom). For this new seasonal menu, Watami will be introducing an array of menu that complements the Haru (春) season in Japan. This menu addition does not stop at dishes but drinks and desserts as well. This will give loyal patrons a chance to explore a wider range of the Watami taste especially since it is in relation with the seasonal change in Japan. This makes Watami unique since it is the first Japanese chain restaurant in Singapore to introduce original seasonal menu.

Be invited for Watami Food Tasting

Watami Japanese Casual Restaurant adds on a seasonal menu to the grand menu from time to time. This time, our new seasonal menu will be added on the end of April this year. We would like you to be amongst the first to try our seasonal menu. Here are three ways to get invited for the food tasting.

1) Send a photo of yourself dining at Watami and stand a chance to be chosen for our food tasting session. Remember, take an attention grabbing photo to be able to get chosen for our food tasting! 10 pairs of tickets will be given away to the owners of 10 attention grabbing photos.

2) If you have a Watami Coin Pouch or chopsticks, take a photo with it and upload your photo to the email address below. 4 winners will be chosen and the winners will be able to bring a friend along for the food tasting.

Send your photos to : foodtasting@watami.com.sg

Put the subject as Watami Photo/ Watami Coin Pouch/ Watami Chopsticks.

3) Alternatively, you can upload a photo of one of our service specialists in half kneeling position to our Facebook portal.

Dateline for the photo upload will be 0900hr on 15th April 2010.

The food tasting session is worth up to $25++ each. So, be sure to be invited for our food rare tasting event and be the first for good taste!

Earth hour at Watami

Watami is taking its stand against climate change. We will be supporting Earth Hour by turning off our lights in our restaurants for an hour, on the 27th March 2010 between 8.30 pm to 9.30 pm.

Patrons will have a chance to enjoy candlelight dinners during this time. Lets play our part for Mother Earth as she has always played her part for us.

We turned off half the lights in our restaurant at ION and dimmed the rest. It was pure darkness! Only the lights from the candles and music requested by the patrons filled the air. (Yes! we had an hour of song requests and dedication during Earth Hour) All for the love of our Earth!

Just like women, the salmon goes through lots of obstacles during its migratory journey. Despite low survival rate, the salmon still take their chance at life. So, savour every bit of strength of salmon while indulging in our Sashimi Supreme!
