We are currently giving away collapsible pouches to our loyal Watami patrons. These pouches are environmentally friendly as they are the remnants of a used canvas that was once a banner to promote Chinese New Year 2009 at Raffles City. The banners were intricately cut and sewn into these lovely coin pouches. Current loyal Watami patrons who received our Watami Christmas cards are welcome to redeem these novelty at our outlets.

Watami is also committed in corporate social responsibility initiativies. Drawing our experience in Japan and other countries, we are also committed to creating a working environment where we can practice sound social responsible activities.
Watami Singapore is also engaging with the National Environment Agency (NEA) on a “Do your part for Mother Earth” project. For the first 20 customers for the first 30 days of our restaurant opening, we will be giving away free chopsticks to encourage people to bring their own chopsticks, so as to discourage the usage of disposable chopsticks, saving the trees and enjoying a wonderful meal at the same time.
We are also working closely with organisations such as SILRA (Singapore Leprosy Relief Association) and Simei Care Centre on various projects, as part of our effort to engage the voluntary organisations and various NGO (non-government organisations) groups.
Also, Watami is part of the pioneer in the F&B industry to practice waste separaton management in the restaurant. As part of our continuous effort to engage in environmental activities, Watami Group and Watami Singapore is always continuously exploring for new ways and methods.
